Welcome to The Prism Gallery
The mission of the Prism Gallery is to provide an exhibition space for the artwork of children and adults with autism. The recognition of creative expression as a primary building block for healthy emotional and intellectual development will be the foundation for all decisions and activities involving Prism. A commitment to promoting the arts will be built upon this same foundation and Prism will be diligent in supporting the efforts of artists.
In order to increase public awareness and encourage the submission of artwork, exhibitions of all artistic media will be promoted throughout the year. The exhibitions will be based on various themes and will be advertised to the public and accompanied by an opening reception. The gallery will maintain the highest standard of professionalism in all presentations, and remain open to the public.
Traveling exhibitions through Prism Outreach will allow the work of artists with autism to serve as an educational and enrichment tool. Temporary exhibitions in schools, libraries and other institutions will create a bridge of awareness to the world of autism. This will serve to illustrate the common thread of creative expression existing in all people.
